Dipping Party
I love a good dip. In fact, most of the time when I am in charge of taking something to a gathering or hosting one myself, I take a dip or a spread. So here’s a fun idea-throw a dipping party. All you need to do is make about 6 dips and provide 3 or 4 foods to dip into the dips (lots of the word “dip”, I know). Here are some ideas of healthy dips and dippers to have for your guests to enjoy.
Dips: Hummus, salsa, crab dip (layer fat free cream cheese, cocktail sauce, and crab meat), spinach dip (use fat free sour cream and mayo when making this), fruit dip (strawberry yogurt and fat free cream cheese), taco dip (layer pinto beans, fat free sour cream, salsa, lettuce, tomato and black olives), melted dark chocolate, my healthy guacamole recipe (see old blog), fruit chutney, olive tapenade, marinara sauce, honey mustard, or any of your favorite dip recipes!
Dippers: bread, pita wedges, crudites, whole wheat crackers, fresh fruit slices, pretzels, baked tortilla chips, low fat animal crackers, grilled chicken skewers
Just make sure that every dip has a dipper that compliments it! Have a blast enjoying a wide variety of foods with your friends!
